Somebody Should Pay Me To Come Up With Things
Somebody should pay me to come up with things, because I’m pretty good at it. Not actually make them, you know, but come up with the idea of them.
Like I think there should be a special sleeve joint thing you can put on the ends of two different paperclips, in case you need to clip a really big stack of paper together and can’t find a big paperclip. It could also be flexible in case you want to join two stacks of paper together at an angle to each other. It could be called the clip clipper, or the modular paper clip adapter, or clippR, to get like that “Web Two Point Oh” feel, you know?
Also, how about radio tracking chips for popsicles? Those would be really handy for people like me who are always setting them down and then losing them. Obviously cost could be a problem but it could be built into a reuseable popsicle stick. Or it could be a device that attaches to the stick, like a paperclip.
It would be called the “chipclipsicle.”
Or maybe “siclipchip.”
The same technology could be adapted for doctors who take out a tongue depresser and then lose it.
Or how about instead of like having to carry around a bunch of change, they made little bills that were like literally one half, one quarter, or one nickel of a dollar? And when you wanted to pay for something, you could just take a paperclip and attach the exact change.
These are just things I came up with off the top of my head while staring at the paperclip stuck to the bottom of the drink holder in my car. I think it’s got stuck because of the popsickle I left in there. Which gives me another idea: little clips in the bottom of drink holders so you can secure tiny documents inside them.
I think these are all pretty good ideas. I can come up with some more but I figure I should pace myself. If anybody out there is an inventor or is good with paperclips go ahead and actually invent these, but remember to send me half of the money.
And hurry up, please. I could really go for some popsicles.

Most of these are probably not all that commercially viable, but the paper clip casing thing gave me an idea: double ended paper clips!
